The Scorpion Patrol
overnighter at
Cumberland Caverns

January 1999

Discovered in 1810 and first opened to the public in 1956, Cumberland Caverns is Tennessee's Largest Cave, and contains over 32 miles of cave, virtually every type of cave formation known, gigantic rooms, waterfall, historic saltpeter mine, and an underground Dining Ballroom that seats 500 beneath a 3/4 ton crystal chandelier!

One of the major requirements for the Arrow of Light is an outing with a Boy Scout Troop.

We were invited to join Troop 270 for a weekend of splunking and an overnight campout in Cumberland Caverns.
